Friends of Sherrod Brown Raises Nearly Three Times More Than Opponent
 

COLUMBUS, OH – FEC reports show that the Friends of Sherrod Brown campaign raised nearly three times more than Sherrod’s opponent Bernie Moreno. Last week, the Friends of Sherrod Brown campaign reported it raised $12.8 million in the second quarter of 2024 – a “big sum” breaking another Ohio fundraising record and adding to Sherrod’s “hefty fundraising totals.”
 
Despite facing scrutiny for relying on his donors to pay himself back after trying to buy Ohio’s Senate seat, Bernie Moreno is still $4.5 million in debt. While Moreno bankrolls his campaign, nearly 92 percent of last quarter’s individual contributions to Friends of Sherrod Brown were $100 or less.
